I'm rather new to the whole process of recording. I have a Lexicon Omega Desktop Studio, which I plug into directly from either my telecaster or my epiphone. I've run into a rather strange issue that I can't seem to find a solution for. After recording, I noticed that there is always this strange phasing hiss/static that accompanies the recording, usually syncronized with the riff I've recorded (meaning the noise appears every time a note is hit, but not when there's nothing being played). I tried different cables, and even recording directly to my sound card, but I still get the same result.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

I forgot to mention that I've tried using Cakewalk Pro Tracks, Adobe Audition, and Sound Forge - all producing the same phasing sound.

I was sitting too close to my CRT monitor. If anyone has the problem in the future, just turn off your monitor.
