  1. Hi all,

My buddy lives out of state and just got an electronic drumset. We would
like for him to be able to play a drum part on his set and record/save it in
midi format to his Mac ibook (OSX) what software would he have to have to do
this? His set has a midi out and i guess he'd have to get a midi interface
for the computer. what else would we need? TIA

    You need

    A) A midi interface

    b) A midi sequencer to record the data

    Alternatively

    a) A midi hardware sequencer with save to file capability

I would opt for a cheap second had hard whare device with no latency

  3. As far as the midi sequencer goes....are you talking hardware or software?
If software, what's a simple CHEAP program? TIA
