At ease! Lady Amalthea:kiss:
Hello, Im new great site guys really nice to see a decent forum for midi users.
great advice . I try to look around before asking, but some of the midis I want seem to be a bit obscure
are all files able to be found in the search?
Read this and check your posts
As and from Monday 17th March all posts in the Request Forum that have only an Artists name or just a track name in the subject field will be deleted. Advice to all members is to go and check your posts and edit them before I get to them. So it is advisable not to :trash: and to always use the :search: option.Too many of these and :banned:
OK will do
That was great that you posted that, obviously people may request the same song over and over again because it's so popular, but the forums get cluttered with multiple requests.
And for you who don't read the FAQS. If you have 5 posts or less and are requesting, your posts will be DELETED....That's all I have to say
thanks for the info naleca...
thanks for the great site
but search seems not to work very well... or is it just me?
The Search works very well youre obviously not using it properly
So I have to post 6 items a day to download one midi? That is a pitty. Some days I post a lot and do not download anything.. Some days I would like to download more than one song and cannot do it...
NO! Once you have posted five times which I see you already have done you can download now. Be careful of trashposting you can be banned.
Before you post a Demo read this
Just a word or 2 on posting Demo's. Before you post a Demo of a song that someone has requested Please remember that part of the Moderators duty is to check the song before it is moved to the Filled Request forum. This can be time consuming and involves the Mod having to Edit the post and put a notice in that the song is a Demo. This seems to be happening alot lately, even with members who are well up in their posts who should have more sense. So please when you are going to post a Demo please remember to include in your post...
::::THIS SONG IS A DEMO::::
Thank you naleca. I have often wasted time on demo's that weren't marked. Especially when they were moved to the "filled requests forum" leading us to think they were the whole song. I for one would really appreciate people letting us know they are only demo's when they post them. Thanks again. Terry
there is only one person who does this, and he is a moderator himself, with a conflict of intrest
I have to disagree Rince, I've run across many folks posting demos..... some old members some newbies... they often work for ringtones so those who only use MIDI for ringtones think that a demo is an appropriate response to a request. Since naleca posted this I haven't seen as many, either folks are put off - or he's doing WAY too good a job at cleaning 'em up!
good point. I dont get much time online, and I don't liek wasting my time on music downloads that turn out to be merely a demo, either.
how do you know the difference between a normal midi and a demo?
2 to 4 minutes usually ........ SOME folks use MIDIs for something other than phone ringers...... phone folk only want about 30 seconds of a song where many of us want the whole shebang.... thus the difference!
