I sure hope to fuck this aint the definitive list!
Who allowed this piece of shit to get printed?
    EVH @ #70????
    Duane #2?
And how bout the FuckButts that shouldnt even be on this list such as:
    Jack White,John Frusciante,james Burton,Warren Haynes,Edge,Freddy
    King,Stephen Stills,Ron Asheton,Queers from Sonic Youth,John
    Cipolino(RIP),Tom Morello,John Fahey,John Fogerty,Joe Perry,Paul Kossoff,Lou
    Reed(Tom 2fingers,2chords)
    Tom Verlaine,Radiohead dudes,Ike Turner,Mick Ronson,Vernon Reed,Moby
    Jerry,Joni Mithchell,Adam Jones,Derek Trucks,Neil Young,Joan Jett,DBoon,Glen
    Buxton,(think Hunter-Wagner)Fred Smith,and so on...and so on.There are
more, but I am unfamiliar with their work,so it woulfd be unfair to name
    them.

Burton ripped off Moore who ripped off Chet Atkins, who was never mentioned.
Trucks and Betts are Duane wannabes
Fogerty was a great songwriter but clearly got his guitar style from Don
Rich, who was Buck Owens giutarist. They are from the same part of
California, and a young Fogerty could have seen Rich play in the honky-tonks
aroud Bakersfield during the late 50-s early 60s.
Joe Perry was a Jeff Beck wannabe with alot of volume but lacks
passion.Credit Whitford for the more melodic and technical stuff.Brad =
Berkley School of music graduate Joe- cant read a note or write a lick
    Ike Turner,Lou Reed,Joan Jett,Joni Mitchell,-what in the fuck?please,giveme
    what you are on!!!!
Freddy King made this list because he was mentioned in a Grand Funk
    Song,right?
And the rest, especially the avante garde, seminal punks,neo-punk artists
belong on some kind of list, but not this one.

And somebody needs their ass kicked for omitting the following:

Phil Keaggy-at the time of Jimi's death,Clapton was asked by a journalist in
an interview"now that Hendrix is gone, how does it feel to be the worlds best
guitarist"?,in which Clapton replied,"That is a question youll have to ask
    Phil Keaggy".

Merle Travis-father of fingerstyle picking aka Travis Picking
    Albert Lee
    Mike Stern
    Allan Holdsworh
    Uli-Jon Roth
Albert King-Father of the modern day blues
    Christopher Parkening
    Wes Montgomery
    Rory Gallagher
Tommy Tedesco-invented the Cop show wah-wah scratch, besides the record
holder for most studio sessions played,
Hendrix copped it for the Voodoo chile intro.
whilst watching an episode of ADAM-12.Rumour has it he
went half crazy trying to figure out what it was,
called NBC STUDIOS in Burbank ,and later got a call
from the shows musical producer.Acoupla days days
later Jimi was recording at the Record Plant when
in walks Tommy Tedesco.Jimi was awestruck as
Tedesdco was a legend in the business.and proceeded to
show Jimi his cop show wa-wa technique.
By the looks of this list, the kids must be taking over the business. At least
up until a few yearsago, most of the crew at the Stone actually lived through
the formative years of rock music and were able to transcend their
litererary ideas into credible pages of print.I think from now on they
should concentrate on covering music made after 1985,and leave the
    revisionist history
    to the N.E.A.

Where were you a week ago when everybody else was stiff with righteous
indignation such as yours? The fact is that "greatest guitarist" is
entirely subjective and therefore this list and it's ilk are
meaningless. I strongly disagree with some of your choices that you say
shouldn't be on the list; likewise, I think several of the ones who's
omission seems to upset you were rightly overlooked. And so what?

I hope you're not as worked up as you sound. It's por nada,
