About time eh?
meh now all they need is Osama.
It's about time yes...He was Sodamned Insane...
lol I like that
life goes oNn
saddam was *&*&*&*& to his people and BUSH Wanted the country for the petrol , what a cheap ass , then he says he attacked SADDAM because he has weapons of mass destruction ...
AAHAHAHAHAHA BUSH Thinks we're dumb ROFL
Go against China , Russia , Japan , Korea the real weapons of destruction exist somewhere there not in IRAQ , you stupid monkey .
WOW So much threat to the world Saddam is , Proves that Bush was badly elected
what a way to wake up today
I think they should just throw him in jail and see what the people in jail will do to him!
did anybody see his photo??? he looks wasted!!!
saddam was doing bong hits in his cave when he got caught. look at that stoner face he's got. he had some afghani! now all we need to do is get salami bin rotten.
I have to agree with Venage on this one... the USA isn't in Iraq because of Weapons of Mass Destruction or because of any war crimes Saddam has committed, although admittedly he is guilty of some pretty horrible stuff and probably needs to fry anyway..
No, we are there for something much thicker and darker than blood, although both may run freely before G.W. gets his fill of either..
I am very curious however to see what they actually charge Saddam with, since they have no solid proof for the WMD angle.
If they charge him with gassing Iranian soldiers, then we need to put some US officials right there with him as conspirators, since it was our government that gave him those weapons to begin with, showed him how to use them, and our "specialists" stood right there with him as "advisors" while he used them on Iran.
*cough* *cough* Similar to the way we armed Al Qaeda.. er.. excuse me.. they were the "Mujadeen" back when they were fighting the Russians.. when we gave them stinger missiles and terrorist training .. oh.. there I go again with the incorrect terminology.. uhm.. "Low Intensity Conflict" is what it's called when our allies do it, not terrorism, even if they do bear a remarkable similarity... It's really a nice record we have of creating attack dogs and then putting them down when they become inconvenient.
If we charge him with murder for his bloody overthrow of the Bath Party.. well, again we had our own hands in that one.. easier to control one murderous tyrant than a bunch of murderous tyrants, right? Uhm... the word that comes to mind is... oops?
Wait.. we could charge him with killing thousands and thousands of Kurds after the first Gulf War! Oh wait, we share blame in that one too since it was us that kept all those captured Iraqi weapons from the Kurds instead of giving them to them like we promised so they could defend themselves against Saddam and maybe actually overthrow him....
Maybe we could get him on unpaid parking tickets or tax evasion... since Iraq is rightfully a US Territory (or so sayeth G.W. and our big American guns)
America is the most powerful country in the world.. I think if we want to take another country's resources by force, we should just come out and say it instead of all these idiotic, barely veiled attempts at coming up with a valid reason.. let's just get the President on a world-wide feed and have him say flat out and bluntly, "We wanted Iraq's oil.. we have taken Iraq's oil.. anyone have a problem with that?" I doubt we'd have many countries complaining, since the world seems to be filled anyway with idiots that don't realize when one country is making a world-dominating power play.
Anyone who says this isn't about oil, try unwrapping that flag from around yourself and sift through the garbage they are feeding you.. you might actually discover something.. patriotism is a wonderful thing.. hell, I'd pick up a gun myself and fight anyone who tried to take my freedom or my country, but blind obedience is NOT patriotism.. just ask the Germans... and what we are fighting for in Iraq is not freedom, just ask the Iraqis.. and if you don't like the answer you get from the Iraqis, ask the Afghanis, another recipient of our version of democracy in the Middle East.. and if you don't like their answer, talk to the Iranis about our old friend, the Shah, who was installed by the U.S. and allowed to commit unspeakable atrocities on his own people solely for the purpose of gaining U.S. control over Iranian oil.
Don't kid yourself, Saddam is a horrible guy, yes, but we could give a crap about his crimes, it's his country's oil we are interested in.
I agree with VenagE and PatGuy on this one..i ain't saying nothing bout Bush but it's high time Saddam was caught. i was watching tv when my cousin told me to turn to cnn and we were all cheering..it brings great relieve. all i hope now is for all the suffering and pain to be over.
Midnight , suffering and pain is far from over , BUSH protects his country not Iraq , what about all the other countries who are dying and need food shelters etc...
The real terrorist is Osama Bin Laden , USA troops are doing what they shouldn't do , instead of staying with their families they are out there cleaning the floor and installing a carpet for BUSH to walk on , grab the petrol , and come back to the states ...
But still what's done is done, les hope for the future that Osama will get cought and all this terrorism will end .
This is only the beginning...
damn, Patguy shud write a column in a newspaper or sumfin.. nice dude and fully with ya!
everyone - go c tthe movie "BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE" - it really gives you a lot of insight about america,..
OMG i was so happy to hear he was captured. I was talking to Jared ( he is in the Navy) and he didnt even know!!!!!
yes patguy you make very, very good points. i've been of that school of thought since this war started, but honestly, it won't be allowed even if bush wanted to take the oil. the international community would never let him just start exporting oil and pumping the money into the U.S. it would expose him as a fraud and it just wouldn't be prudent. (as his father would say) and personally, the way he is pressing so hard for these other countries to write off the debts that iraq owes is showing me that he may very well be trying to save that country instead of raping it. the guy's so shifty i don't know what to think of him except that he DEFINITELY has no grammar skills whatsoever!
IT'S NUCLEAR NOT NUKEULAR DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!
It's not about him stealing the oil, it's about him putting his own patsy in to "sell" it to him. That and the rebuilding contracts. The United States economy is geared up so that it has to have a major conflict in the world somewhere to sustain itself. After Russia rolled over and said "*&*&*&*& you win, we want a Maccas in the Kremlin" they have lost the biggest war. I saw the other day that the US has banned any country that wasn't involved in the "War on Afganistan" from bidding on rebuilding contracts.
OK... here's a thought.
Back in the days when the US bombed the *&*&*&*& out of Japan (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) the US ended up giving back Japan money to help them rebuild their society. Look at their country now. Super slick with technology... way more advanced than the USA. (Someone please chime in if I'm incorrect here).
Now.... if the same is to happen with Iraq, and the US goes pumping money and technology into Iraq, my prediction is that in 50 years time or so, Iraq will become the next major World Power.
They have all the oil, the only natural resource on this planet Earth. They'll have the rest of the planet by the b@lls. Where will the lil ole USA be then eh?
Just food for thought. Whaddya think?
LOL, that's what you get when you have a true cowboy running the country.
