It seems that some guys want to make a "virtual studio" and it is ok, you spend less money than buying harware...

Well First of all I recommend you to buy an USB MIDI Keyboard it helps a lot to make your sequences and has a lot of controllers and knobs easing the whole process.

Second of all :p There is a new Halion: Halion 3, and it has awesom sounds but, there are several different kits with different sound and they can be buyed separately, and well you have a good host to enhance the Virtual instrument, cotroll it etc.

Acid 5 Supports VSTi and VST fx, and is pretty good, Ambelton Live 4 is even better...

Kontakt is OK there are Kontakt Silver and Kontakt Gold for orchestral soundig, and is a very good sampler, it also has several versions Check Steinberg and Native instruments products to lear more a bout it...

    Hope It helps.
