I am currently using Powertracks pro audio for midi file editing but I do not seem to be able to save all of the settings ie volume etc when I save the file and play it on a different system ie windows media player. Should I be using different software?

Hi empg....I am not familiar with Powertracks Pro but I have been using Logic and cubase for some years now....it is possible that you are using the software's "own" setting to add your control changes ie.volume, pan etc... I know that in logic or cubase , if you try to then export your file as as .mid file, those settings will not be saved. To remedy this you will need to add in the control changes for each track of your file manually. Go to "list" edit or similar and put in at the beginning of each track a control change command ie : volume is control number 7, pan is 10 etc......

    Hope this helps:)
