do most midi sequences sequence by ear? I know that that would mean they all have good knowledge of each instrument and all, but, It seems some songs are hard to find sheet music for. just curious how its done cuz id like to get into sequencing but I know little about reading notes and so fourth.

Most of my sequencing is done by ear. For big arrangements I have used sheet music.

sheet music doesn't always give you the full picture as such. The are usually bits that the sheet music doesn't allude to. It's not a bad starting point however.

The ear is a musicians best friend. While you can see the music, have a listen to a song with the music in front of you. You'll see what I mean.

Most of us sequence by ear, but a little bit of help (sheet music, tab, chords etc) goes a long way..... :D
