I currently have a sblive and have used the hacked asio drivers for some time, and am about to upgrade to semi-pro card and have narrowed my search down to two cards..... 1.terratec dmx fire.... 2.M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and was wondering which card would suit me best for mixing midi and live guitar work that will be miked up....

    best regards

You'll need a pre amp or mixer to connect to the audiophile.

Only one I have experience with is the S/B Audigy card and break out firewire box. Records Guitar (through Pod XT) really well.

    Guitar player here too.

Get the MAudio Firewire 410 or a Delta66 with the Omni I/O.

    I use the Delta-Omni and it's killer!!!

    Good luck.
