Hi, I got a midiman ono usb midi interface installed - connecting the "out"
to the "in" - and vice-versa - to my midi keyboard, then plugged in the usb
cable. Then booted winxp and installed the drivers. Windows did not want
them installed because they weren't signed off on by them - but I went ahead
    and installed them anyway.

Then, of course, the midi input did not play anything. I tried basically
every combination of midi in and out devices in cake walk and in the
settings control panel before giving up and uninstalling the driver software
and reinstalling the SBaudigy software. Since then, I cannot get the midi
input to transmit anything from my keyboard(Casio wk1630).

Everything worked fine before installing the midiman stuff.

Anyone have any ideas on what's going on?

Probably incompatible USB controllers, all USB is not created equal. You
may have to reinstall your Windows if you did not put in a Restore point
    before installing the drivers.
You should check with midiman and SB first, however, to see if you can
correct the error before reinstalling Windows.
Also goto Start/Programs/Accessories/System/Restore and see if there is a
Restore point in there that precedes your driver install and go back to it.

I am not quite sure that I understand - are you saying I should try to
reinstall the drivers that came with midiman ono - or the sound card
    drivers?

I used the uninstall program that came with ono to remove its drivers, and I
used sys restore to get to a point before installing ono, but to no avail.

I also removed SBAudigy drivers, software and shifted the sound card to a
different slot. I even uninstalled cakewalk! (getting desperate) And then I
reinstalled everything except the ono stuff - But still no midi input. It
seems like WinXp is the culprit here, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for looking into this problem - it really is bothersome.
