Anyone try that software? Interesting stuff...its main flaw in my humble opinion is the inability to recognize and accurately transcribe percussion.

I agree, it's definitely lacking precussion emulation.....and junk

i tried a couple of such programs, and they are HORRIBLE ...

i don't know how do they publish such software.

they might work with single track slow wav/mp3 files only...

because there is no way to accuratly define the exact sound of every drum while that much else is going on in the file

Is there any decent wav to midi program out there or is it a waste of time looking?

It's basically a waste of time looking at the present time. There is no program, to my knowledge, that does a credible job of converting wav or mp3 to midi. If anyone finds such a program, let us all know!

With a clear wav sample containing preferrably a single instrument Melodyne does an excellent job of converting WAV to Midi.

It's almost impossible to make software good at converting it, because first you would somhow have to "teach" the software to be able to recognize different instruments and be able to follow a certain instrument, even though its sound may change slightly throughout the song

All audio to midi conversion programs are very much lacking. It's quicker and less frustrating to do it all yourself.:nono:
