We need a new band name

Anyone got any good ideas (nom not you Polfus, I said *good* ideas) for a
band name? We want to "polish" the image a bit to get some more better
paying gigs so we're moving away from the "blue collar" image and trying to
work into the middle somewhere. Southern Comfort was a good name, but the
folks who sell booze sic'ced their lawyers on us and we've fought the good
fight. Since they decided to pay us to change names we're going to take
their offer but first we gotta have a catchy name that doesn't sound silly
or have any negative connotations. Then we have to get the website redone
to reflect the new band name and image. So let's have 'em, band names
    needed.

Two of my favourites that I've always wanted to try out are:

    J. Hoover's Witnesses
    Sikhs Pack

But these might not convey the image that you're after :)

    Fun,

Yeah, maybe that's why they didn't want to "sponsor" us.
Might've been something about the free samples we wanted,
too. I figure if we changed our name to the Wild Turkey
Band we might have the same problem in the future, so we're
going to avoid anything that could be seen as a conflict
with a company or product this time.

I'm assuming you're keeping the same
    progressive-roadhouse-gospel-thrashabilly playlist right ?

    Howsabout :

Snakebit (actually, anything with snakes works pretty well)
    Hot Steel
Dirty Dozen (the drummer ate the rest of 'em)
Nasty Canasta (a favorite Bugs Bunny villian)
    Ghost Town

But of course. Actually, we're thinking about throwing in a
few "newer" tunes as well. By newer I mean 80's stuff like
    Tom Petty, etc...

I like the snake idea. something with snakes might be cool.
Hot Steel sounds too "cheesy 80's", like Steel Dragon.

Wild Daniel Jack's Comfortable Southern Turkey Beam would be a good name for
    a band.

I've been keeping track of some of the ones that've been suggested here,
albiet not real closely. Here's the few I've saved...

    Magmatones, The
    Human Humidor
    Flushmates, The
Binary Sons (The) (I like that one)
    Hazmat Expats
    Pruritis Ani
    Jaw Droppings
    Crumpet Monkeys

You should, somehow, get the word "Downshift" in there somewhere...
