I like to use TDK and Sony for my important data. And I have some generic silver/silver cdrs for back up and music cds for the car etc.

We use generic, don't seem to have too much trouble. Trial and error orginally to find the best generic product.

Yea there is no difference in the quality of the cd-r/w between name brands. The only difference you will find is the design on the top of them. Really just go with whatever you can find for the cheapest. I've found that Best Buy usually runs some sort of deal on a paticular brand every week.

    I use either TDK/Maxell/Pine Media

I like the tdk's for the car stereo, they are less prone to warping

I mostly use Imation. I sometimes use others if Imation isn't on sale

I use whatever I can get a spindle of 50 for £10 or less :)

But to be fair most of mine get data written to them. As far as cdrw's go, I don't really use them much. Most of my audio cd players don't read them, apart from a more modern one which isn't mine. I have never had a problem with generic cd's - I used to buy sony ones but found them to be unreliable - randomly refusing to burn??

    Cheers

    Andrew

It's a SONY! Nah, whatevers good, I recommend anything good to my friends but if the price is so close between the top brands, Sony is my pick everytime. I heard TDK is good too.

MMORE are really good!!! I've never had any trouble with these. One problem: they are only compatible up to 32x. For faster I recommend TDK (48x)

I usually buy what is on sale. I just got a 100-pack of Fujifilm for $8 from Best Buy.

darn I spent $20 on a spindle of 100 cdrs but they don't have a greenish tint to them, they are purely silver top silver silver bottom.
