Gibson Les Paul Custom black with 2 DiMarzio Superdistortion
Arctic White Fender strat electric and Alvarez acoustic! :boink: Boink?
voice of god ... how do you like the piezo pickups. I have been looking at a Godin guitar to be able to do the same acoustic/electric thing.
To me it sounds good, like an acoustic. You can play both electric and acoustic on 1 guitar. When you play both electric and acoustic together at the same time you get a very full sound.
I had trouble with sweat from my hand wrecking the piezo and had to get it replaced twice. So be aware of where your hand is resting when you play.
The way I fixed it was to use an oil product called 3 in 1 (recommended by Fender) Put this on the piezo pickups, stops sweat getting in. Or a sewing machine oil with a rust inhibitor would work. It has to be oil, nothing that will dry up, ask a local pro before putting anything on it.
I'm very happy with the piezo(now that its working, it sucks when they break, that oil thing I talked about is very important, trust me) I've never played a quality acoustic through a P.A but the piezo sounds acoustic to me. Personally I think its awesome. Versatility plus.
Always trust your own ear though if you like the guitar and its gonna do what you want it to, then try it.
Thanks ... have never heard of the oil/sweat problem ... sounds like good advice.

Yamaha elctro-acoustic, which has the tone everyone wants from an acoustic!
Well i do not own a guitar because i play bass but i only currently have one because i have only been playing for bout 4 months but i have a

acoustic guitars are nice. when you here it, theres a nice feeling of relaxation. thats my opinion though. they kinda relieve stress due to the notes they produce. well they are the most widly used guitar now a days

I have an Ibanez Blazer I bought in the States in 1980. I love it dearly and would never part with it. Lovely action though electrics are a bit dodgy.
Just retired it and bought a Yamaha Pacifica .... good guitar for the price ... and not scared it will get damaged when I'm out playing!
