HP's are good printers with good features, but Epson surpasses all of them in terms of print quality. Go Epson.

Epson, yet I seem to have managed to damage mine rather. Note to all: Epson printers don't like heights.

I'll vote for Canon. They are the cheapest per page cost and have great quality.

For a b&w 'workhorse' laser printer the Hp 4000s are hard to beat. We use them all over work and they go forever with very little maintenance.

Those in the HP lineup look to be the best. Mine certainly is not hehehe (Canon C5500).

In a few hours a Canon i9900 will be arriving at my door, I'll post a review of the printer since this will be my first canon. I've tested a Epson 2200 at a store and it seems to be printing at the same rate as the one I have now, but much more quieter, I'm hoping the Canon will be much faster and better.

Gotta be Hp. If it stops working...change the cartridge and it usually fixes it,

totally agree with ppl abt Canon. The ink is really cheap as you dont need to buy an entire new head with every cartridge!!! HP, Lexmark etc are SUCH a con! Quality of my i850 canon is fantastic, the HP I have is noisy, as is my sisters Lexmark.

i used to sell printers and other pc accessories, and i must say. HP not only has better print quality, in general, but is also quite durable. Canons have good color, Lexmarks have great black, but HPs have the best of both worlds. Epsons have print quality that nears that of HPs, but Epsons are very touchy and don't stand up well to abuse. The Epson guy was in like every week fixing the display model. The only area where HPs don't excel is price. If you're looking to save money on a printer, HP is not for you.

While I use HP more, my favorite's still been Canon(maybe because it was the first printer I used that was actually good ;)
