depends on what's sequencing the sound. My Roland RD-700 keyboard does a halfway decent job with drums, but I always use my Alesis DM5 drum machine for drums. Not the best, but not shabby by any means.

If you have SoundFont capabilities, I have a 20MB Yamaha GM/GS/XG drum bank I can link you to.

Correction: 10MB, and outlandish drumsets such as Coffin are not available. There is still more than what would appear in a standard GM bank. I hate to say this, but I will have to upload it later. http://www.1asphost.com/ has been shut down for repairs, and should be back up within the next hours.

    It's alright.. ;)

I have 100MB online, and I can add 100 more for every new free acout I sign up as. :D Ok, I'm uploading it right now... You know, I just might have to send the file via e-mail. :/ 1asphost.com is STILL down. I would have also uploaded the file to www.sf2midi.com, but the filesize limit is 8MB. David, I might as well just e-mail the file to you.

I tend to use Native Instruments Battery samples. Check out http://www.kvr-vst.com for some other SF packs, as well as patches/bansk in other formats. You have to register but it's worth it

i find that it's not really the samples i use that make the drums sound good in a track of mine, but how effects are applied and how they fit into a track. i guess cus im a trance producer, my percussions and drums are fairly easy to produce, but thats my 2 cents.

    hi,

Native Instrument's "Battery" has the best drum sounds, period.

their "mega drum kit" is just fantastic, multi sampled and wonderfully recorded drum kit

    try it!

    cheers,
    sodium!
