Yeah, MIDI has no form of lyrics whatsoever. The closest you came to that is Karaoke, where the lyrics appear on screen. If you want to hear lyrics, like DanWal said, you need MP3.

I have a question concerning this topic. My site that I created for my community only offers the ability to use midi's and wav files, however they would like mp3's (lyrics). Can I convert mp3 files into midi or wav, or will it double the size of the file ?

You convert mp3 to wav but the file size will be about 10 times bigger. You cant properly convert mp3s to midi but if u did the file size will be alot smaller. If you still want to try WIDI to convert mp3 to midi try this:

If you have a midi file and want to have lyrics, you can enter the lyrics yourself with software like Melody Assistant. Then you can use the file as a background for singing it yourself (karaoke).
That's the point of it all.

how would that be possible? mp3's have no information at all about the notes, which is what midi files use. Can this really be done? :confused2
