Please forgive my ignorance here as im relatively new to midi files:

I use cubase sx to edit and play midi files linking sx to my soundblaster live wavetable and playing the midi through there, but the sound that comes out of that is totally tin like and crap. I write all my music in sx so that is preferable. But how do i get the hollow sound of the midi files changed to clean crisp sound and instruments?
Should i use another midi player and editor? Which then??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks

I know this is a very expensive route, but I put my midi files into a Korg Triton, and the voices in that are usually more than sufficient. Plus, if I want to tweak anything it's no problem.
