I use Windows XP Professional And I Think Is The Best Of All The Windows. But The Only Thing I Don't Like About It,Is That All The Drivers Have To Be Digitally Signed.

    Cat among the pigeons:

I use Mac OS9.2.2 and, on my PC and Virtual PC for the Mac - Windows 98 (First Edition) - no worries. Win98SE is very buggy.

3.11 still the best. I have been running powertrax 3.5 on stage 2 nights a week for the past 7 years and not had any trouble.

    I'm dual boot:
Windows 2000 (far all studio/music) and Linux for pretty much everything else. I prefer 2K over XP.

    XP PRO Not the best

XP pro is the best when it comes to strictly audio, but Midi is difficult to use without an outside soundcard and Softsynth

XP - but with the desktop settings on "Windows Classic" - everyone thinks I am running Win2k.

Anyone had programs run significantly slower under SP1?

I've got a dual boot of Linux, which I use when Windows is being stupid, and XP-Pro for everything else.

For me i think Windows XP Professional is the best, with multilanguage and some of built-in software.

XP isn't bad, it has issues with hardware because of the way it talks to it though. 98SE isn't bad either, but beware the blue screen of death. Microshaft Windowze happens....
