    No, not any song
just a way to emphasize my opinion that celine dion's music could be used as a means to inflict extreme torture on convicted people (in some human-rights abusing countries)

If there's anything I could listen to again and again, sincerely, it's the sound of stream or light rain.
It's a quality humans still haven't found a way to beat nature: recyclability.

Anything by The Darkness. They are one cool band.

Also anything by Michael Jackson. He is the King of Pop. In fact i would even class him as a pop artist. He has a style of his own.

I've been listening to Five For Fighting's Battle For Everything CD over and over. I love the piano and acoustic guitar parts. 100 Years is a great song.

When I started thinking about this I came up with a bit of a list also!

The Doors - any of their albums, Jim's voice really does it for me :D
The Smashing Pumpkins - my all time favourite band, still one of the most amazing live performances I have been to, any album from Gish, Pisces Iscariot through to Mellon Collie, Billy has a great voice on the loud tracks but also wonderful on the slower ones ... Pisces is their early stuff, Soothe is such a beautiful song, recorded in his apartment, you can hear sirens in the background....
U2 - I just love all their albums
The Lemonheads - It's a shame about Ray
Jeff Buckley - anything by Jeff, he has an amazing voice...
Delerium - Semantic Spaces, before any other 'commercial' artists got into the tribal sounds e.g deep forest etc, there was Delerium showing the way.... many have imitated, none have innovated as they have
The Orb - U.F.OFF, again this guy is a sound innovator, a doctor of music (he got touchy when my friend asked him about this LOL) This album just blew me away.... considering it was released in '92 and still sounds soooo fresh!
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic, this list is by no means in order - these guys rock I like all their stuff early to recent...
George - Polyserena, great Australian band, excellent album to sing to in the car if you wanna hit the high notes :)
Torch Songs - Towards the Unknown Region, this is William Orbit in disguise, a wonderful album that I have listened to over and over and over
The Beatles - I have loved the Beatles ever since I was a child and my Stepfather would play their albums, anything by them but I really love Sgt Peppers, The White Album, Revolver ... infact anything!
Benfolds 5 - these guys make such fun music... their first album is great I love Underground!
Custard - Wahooti Fandango & Wisenheimer, I got this as a double set, another Aussie Band, great, funny tracks!
Linkin Park - These guys keep coming up with the goods!!!

...ahhh the list could go on and on, but that will do for now!

This is the kind of thread I always end up discovering new music from.... it's the best thing about the "long tail" and music.... before u had to read in a magazine or hunt around in a record store to find something cool -- which made the choices always subject to the "gatekeeping" of editors and music store buyers and etc... -- which would lead inevitably to mediocrity and the prevalence of "poser music" -- i.e. stuff that you want to like because you think it's cool, not because you really like it. Music journalism especially creates high-profiles for really lame stuff, because journalists are always looking behind their backs, trying to profile something that they think in 2 years people will think they were cool for liking "way back when".... I GREATLY prefer the democratic nature of threads like these, where people simply list their tastes and you can just look something up on itunes or youtube and check it out for yourself....

These days I'm really into techno and techno/rock and stuff like that -- try searching for these songs:

Thomas Falke "Revolution On The Dance Floor"
    Groove Cutter "My Shooter"
Control One "Just A Little Bit"
    Ian Carey "Redlight"
    Kevin Weg "Dead Radio"

I don't usually go for techno but these are sort of like a weird crossover between rock and techno/trance.

Here are also some downloads with some other cool stuff too -- http://www.electricfilebox.com/tracks
