2pac and Biggie has had their in hiphop, but from my view Kool G Rap and Az has the best flow and lyrics. Its sad when u see these 2 amazing rappers doesn't get as much exposure as Tool and 5 cent. :drink:

Will Smith....if he's king, somebody kill me. :hit:

I agree that TuPac and Biggie are great rappers but lets be real here. They aren't making anything new so, for me at least, it's time to move on.

Big fan of Dre & Jay-Z, wouldn't say they're the best but I like 'em. That's all that matters to me.

my vote goes to Ja....WHAT THE??!!

when i saw ja rule on that list, i had to check me dang drawers. that must be his cousin that posted that poll. as mr. anderson would say, "what in the hell?" 50 don't really even belong on that list, especially without the shady one. shoo. and the fact that EMINEM is not listed means someone must be sippin' on grandpa's old cough medicine. EM should be where the mad midget is on that poll. i had to vote BIGGIE regardless. i only wish he would have worked as hard as 2pac before he died. how does pac still have new material like 8 years after he died. he's almost had a cd every year on average since 1996. and is it just me or does it not really even sound like pac rapping "thug mansion". peace

    rap is pretty much crap

ffs why cant they come out with something new.

*rapper sits at home, probably on toilet*

"Oh oh man, yeah I gotta come up with a new tune"

"s**t man, what was my last one about??"

*thinks hard for about and hour*

"oh yeah, yeah man, it was bout:

    Killing
    Guns
    Girls
    Designer Clothes
    Gangs
    Drugs"

"yeah man, thats it, ill do another song with all that in again man it gon' be da bomb"

Hence the situation where practically every rapper on the planet talks about the same s**t each record

Some noteable rap songs that "break the mould"

    Outkast - Ms Jackson
    Spooks - Things I've Seen
Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love
Wyclef Jean - Gone Till November

    P.S.

Your poll doesnt even include a decent rapper. the worst there is Jay Z. The idea of rapping is to lay the words down to the beat.

    here are the best rappers

    Left-eye
    Pras
    Wyclef

yep, tupac. he's rapping is like different. not like rhymes without meanings. he's ones are really wid meanings and although some of the words don't rhyme, he's still making them sound great when put together.

    *gets up on ste2k's soapbox*

now hear this, ste2k's explanation of rap is totally warped and misinformed. have you never heard of dead prez? goodie mobb? nappy roots? ALL the outkast? hell, even wu-tang's got a lot of messages. there's a lot more socially aware rap music than just these "artsy" groups like black eyed peas and common. the problem is most "consumers" (i call 'em guppies) these days treat rap as strictly "club" music. this makes more rappers strive for top 40 hits. how many club type rap songs have you heard kicking out social messages? how many would really buy it. you can't judge the entire industry by the lil jons and master p's. you got to get over your hangups and explore what hip-hop has to offer. get goodie mobb - still standing and tell me there's not a message. but honestly, who really is so serious that they MUST have a message every time they listen to a song? how much would you like it if every movie was a documentary?
