    ROGER MOORE

(read it again you should get it)

with a name like that he was born to play Bond

Roger Moore was very good suave and sophisticated, ie The Saint. Sean Connery is very good Scottish actor. These are difficult act to follow.

Pierce Brosnan...i don't think i ever saw any of the older Bond movies but yeah Sean Connery's great too
btw, ya know Michelle Yeoh who starred opposite Brosnan in Tomorrow Never Dies, well she went to the same high school as I did..she's from my hometown too

hehehe... what a compliment there 'cuz Michelle Yeoh is well she's pretty hot! She might be one of my favourite "Bond Girls" hmmnnn... surprised THAT thread isn't up here too! For most of us that would be like Fez in the candy store! If anyone makes that thread make certain to allow for multiple choices! (and don't leave any lovely ladies out either! ...hehehe and perhaps a few forum members too LOL!)

As for Bond... Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan did a good Bond, James Bond... Roger Moore then. I saw Brosnan doing the character long before they did the search for a replacement... He's proved to be one fo the best Bonds so good choice. [IMG]

i agree totally. sean connery is what we here in the states like to call a P.I.M.P.

pierce brosnan is right up there. very good representative of the bond franchise.

Let's see what are some good nominees for the next Bond?

Russel Crowe, Hugh Jackman (an Aussie though...), Ewen McGregor, Christian Bale, Colin Wells, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pierce...? Some of those names might be too big for the role though... perhaps a telly actor or soap actor... Brosnan came from that... I've heard Robbie Robertson... similar to the Robert Palmer consideration back when Brosnan came on, besides too short and lacks sophistication... I've heard Colin Farell... too short again... Hugh Grant... too effeminate... well he IS rather metro though in his defence... but a pansy all the same ...Jeremy Northham perhaps?

Tom Cruise... I dunno'? He's done similar roles and could pick up the accent... he is short but they're clever enough with the cameras to hide it... George Clooney is another American, Ben Affleck might have the look... and he did bomb in the across the board worst of the worst films... Gig(g)ly! :laugh2: I personally think it would be hilarious to see Christopher Walken in the role in his sophisticated weirdness!... DiCaprio did a good role portraying Frank Abagnale, Jr. (local man!) even impersonated Connery as one of the folks the character impersonated in the true story... ... and well you know I haven't gotten the call quite yet so... :laugh2:

Sean Connery was a tough act to follow. I think he was the best who played Bond. Pierce Brosnan is really doing well and i think is up to par in playing 007. The character of 007 has evolved over the years and Brosnan displays this very well. I hope he keeps on doing more Bond films. :)

Looks like a tight race still between Connery and Brosnan... Interesting that George Lazenby starred in what is considered to be the best Bond film ever, has no votes. Also, that Timothy was considered the best actor and certainly most highly acclaimed ever for the role... has only two votes and didn't prove to be that great of a James Bond really.

My first pick is Sean Connery then Pierce Brosnan...

Connery is the best james bond for me though Brosnan is a close runner up but not quite the same
