List your favorite tips, tricks and shortcuts that you use while using Windows!

    Here is one to start:

    Windows Key + D = Show Desktop
Ctrl + Esc followed by Alt + M = Minimize all Windows

    Try It! :)

Windows key + Pause/Break opens with System Properties applet.

Shift + Tab is Tab in reverse.

the bestest and mostest useful...... especially for programs that don;t have an easy copy/paste feature....

    cntrl+C is copy
    cntrl+V is paste
    cntrl+X is delete

and even better cntrl+Z is UNDO!!!!

For many programs, Ctrl + Y or F4 is Redo. An Undo cache must be present first.

The Multimedia Audio Properties applet can be accessed more quickly by Start > Run > mmsys.cpl. The Display Properties applet is desk.cpl. Win98 users need to either type "control" before the cpl name in the Run box or register the CPL filetype to open with %systemroot%\control.exe before the same effect can be achieved.

The default speed of the Start Menu in XP can be rather slow, but by simply editing a Registry Key you can speed things up a bit. Open up the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

HKEY CURRENT USER / Control Panel / Desktop / MenuShowDelay

By default, the value is 400. Change this to a lesser value to speed it up.

Here's one for web surfers: have you ever been to a site that opens up all the images in a pop-up. Only that pop-up is 1 size and not resizeable so sometimes the images get cut off because the advertisers don't know what they are doing?

Well in a pop-up windows that has the resize property set to false so you can't resize, you can hit F11 twice to be able to resize it depsite the resize property.

Dirty trick yes, but sometimes it's necessary. :)

Yes, I discovered that just recently. Great for playing Newgrounds flash videos without the GIF advertisement on the bottom of the window.

If you just opened a number of separate, related windows (a folder inside a folder, and so on), there's an easier way to close them all than one-at-a-time. Hold down the Shift key as you click the X caption button in the upper-right corner of the last window opened. Doing so closes that window and all windows that came before it. Careful, don't try it now. ;)

The Alt+Prt Scr allows you to target that specific window that you have open and nothing else. No more cropping those screenshots to grab the content you were after!

WindowsKey+Shift+M restores all of your windows to the way that they were before you did WindowsKey+M.

I like HITTING(!) ctrl+alt+del, especially when my PC crashes. It helps vent some anger.

Yes, the classic three finger salute! :D

No Windows guild is complete without it!

A long time ago, I gave my older brother a Panic button to stick on the top right of his keyboard. It was red and had a little spring! Probably one of the best gifts I have ever given.

    what a brother! ;)

Here's something cool that not really Windows specific: try visiting this place:

    http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en

It might look the same at first but try typing something it... you'll see popular searched for those terms!

It sounds pathetic, doesn't it? But if you knew my brother, it would be all fine and well. ;)

Windows Key + M does the same thing. Quicker, but still not as good as Windows Key + D. Pressing Windows Key + D again after the desktop is shown re-appears all windows that were hidden!

About my avatar... It's in the shop. I'm getting a little bored of it.
