    How do you guys sleep?

Studies have been made as to the relationship between our sleeping positions and our personalities.

Below are a few positions and what type of person they are

    Lying on your side
People who sleep sideways are calm and peaceful. They are neither overly excitable nor particularly sensitive. They are steady, do what they are expected and get the most they can out of life, but they do not drive themselves cazy while attempting to "get ahead."

    Lying face down
People who sleep face-down are serious and stubborn. They hold strong beliefs and try to have everything done precisely the way they want them. They are tense and focused, and they do not give ground easily

    Lying face up
People who sleep face-up are confident and optimistic. Concerns and worries that wear others down have little effect on them. Their attitude is "happy go lucky" and they are not particularly keen on planning or scheming. Occasionally such an attitude can make them vulnerable to unpleasant surprises and setbacks

On your side curled up like a ball
People who sleep in the curled up position (or the "fetal" position) are trusting, natural, sociable and community-oriented. They tend to look at the world in rosy colors and treat people kindly. They do not want to see and think about the darker side of life, and above all they long for security, intimacy and joy.

    Tied up in knots
People who sleep all tied-up in knots (twisted), or with limbs flung out all over the bed, are experiencing stress. They are under constant pressure, either to survive crises or to move forward. It is difficult to always feel life is a struggle, and these people often feel that they are falling short. The tension will either wear them down or convince them of the uselessness of anxiety - hopefully, leading to a new approach to life that is less stressed.

vbrio! With a quote like that in your sig I'm surprised that you'd limit people by their sleep positions.

Then again - maybe its just because I've seen lists that differ from (contradict even) this one that give more favorable reports where my sleep position is concerned!

depends if I'm with someone or not. Alone its where I crash. With someone its depends on the way they sleep that determines my postion

I sleep differently all the time It depends on where I am and what's going on. Lately though I've been sleeping tied up in knot's and it's true that Im stressed.:hit:

Hah - VOG....... I generally sleep on my tummy - one leg straight one bent, arms up next to the pillow (sometimes under pillow). I have my 2 foot area at the edge of the bed and I don't move much, if at all, once I fall asleep. I like the blankets tucked around my feet except in summer when I just pull the sheet across the middle of my body. When I had the Mick-dog I liked to spoon her little sleeping self from time to time, but Cinder is a sleep-at-the-feet kinda dog (though hubby doesn't like her on the bed at all). When I have a stuffy nose I snore a bit - but I've never been accused of talking in my sleep. Oh... and my pillow has to smell good..... like laundry soap or clean hair or I can't sleep at all. I usually get up before my alarm and sometimes forget to turn it off when I sneak away to let the pup out.

Does that demystify it a little?

I've seen this a number of times and somehow the analysis is always different ...must be due to much improved research? (who's payin' the bill for these kinda' studies I wonder?) Probably we tax payers are! Anyway, I usually sleep on my back usually with my hands on my "six-pack" (make certain I put that in quotes don't want to give the impression I drink myself to sleep every night! okay maybe I do a lil' or I would've just said stomach or belly...) and maybe 15% of the time I go to the side or some light fetalistic position... what does that mean? I guess it depends on the results of the population studied. The findings are a bit ambiguous but seem to fit me for the most part ...though it's a bit to pin me down so easily and some of the other descriptions I might have felt the same way about.

At the risk of turning this into just another sex thread.... NyX has a good thought... and being spooned in the tummy down one leg bent position by someone else who like that position...... :smart:

    Hey

That summary is pretty favourable for me, considering my sleeping position. Some of it i'd strongly agreee with too. Still, sometimes i wake up rotated at around 90 degrees or even completely the other way! Prob coz i move around when its cold but i've never met anyone else like that

What do ur studies say about that??..........

 My brother did that as a child..... he'd always fall asleep in one direction and generally wake up in an entirely different one........

I usually sleep on my side with the arm at the bottom thrown across my other shoulder (for some reason)...which is why the above mentioned arm is usually dead until noon the following day
