Well i have a zoom 707II multi-effects guitar processor (had to get it since i loved the original 707 and the 505 so much) But its got smart media, A drum machine, a 5 second recorder and play back, it has an expression pedal....and i believe its 64 effects, 20 customizable and renameable. Its got an accoustic simulator and an amp simulator. its an awesome piece of equipment and i was wondering if anyone else here has used it or has comments on it?
I have used the zoom pedal and found the ability to edit patches very limited. I subsequently sold the unit and replaced it with a yamaha dg stomp. This pedal is very easy to use with good sounds for around the same price as the zoom. It is also a metal pedal where the zoom is plastic.
I find that the plastic casing of the 707ii is the only thing that's really letting it down (but I haven't tried the Yamaha so I'm at a disadvantage in that respect), although Zoom have recently released the GFX-5 which is metal construction - HOORAY - with loads of other bits and bobs added on. Could be good.
